Pembroke International Opens Locked Information Silos with Lotus Notes Integrator v5.1

London, U.K. – June 15, 2004 – Pembroke International has launched Lotus Notes Integrator v5.1 for Documentum, a unique integration and migration software for Lotus Notes that makes Lotus content available and more accessible to content consumers. While Lotus Notes provides an industry leading collaboration environment, it is considered by some to be weak on content management because it does not allow easy adoption of new and emerging web/internet/component based information management architectures and tools.

Since the introduction of Lotus Notes, technologies for managing information have evolved significantly while Notes content remains in information silos, locked up by Notes’ proprietary data storage. To meet enterprise business content needs, companies are realizing and acknowledging the need for the continued wealth of information managed in Notes and migrating it into other applications. CEO of Pembroke International Frank Shell stated, “We have the only direct integration product available for Lotus Notes and Documentum.”

When asked how Lotus Notes Integrator v5.1 is going to maximize a company’s information sharing network, Frank Shell added, “LNI is an out-of-the-box solution that installs in 30 seconds, configures in minutes and gets into production very quickly. It requires minimal administration and speeds the migration process allowing the organization to get the benefits of Documentum faster. This is going to mean lower running costs and a more open and uniform working environment.”

Pembroke International provides bridge between Lotus Notes and Documentum Content Management System

LONDON, UK – March 2nd, 2004 – Pembroke International, a Documentum Alliance Partner, today announced Lotus Notes Integrator for Documentum (LNI) that enables integration with and migration from Lotus Notes to the Documentum Content Management System.

“Many organizations who have invested in Lotus Notes - often more than half a decade ago, are finding themselves challenged by the Notes proprietary architecture,” said Frank Shell, CEO, Pembroke International. “They are attracted to the vision of a component based alternative to Notes, believing new technologies will be less costly to administer and maintain while serving as a more flexible information platform. Deployed as an automated enterprise implementation, the Documentum Integrator can be used for one-time export and as a co-existence solution for maintaining Notes authored documents in Documentum, thereby seamlessly allowing the use of Lotus Notes while exploiting the capacity of Documentum as an enterprise information storage system.

Key Features include :

Pembroke International Delivers Import/Export Document for Lotus Notes v2.0 Professional & Lite Editions, provides innovative Lotus Notes document migration and co-existence solution.
London, United Kingdom. July 14,2000.

Pembroke International announced today the immediate availability of Import/Export Document for Lotus Notes v2.0 Professional & Lite Editions - Lotus Notes add-in products that provides high quality document migration to and from Lotus Notes.

Import/Export Document for Lotus Notes v2.0 (IXDoc) from Pembroke International, the specialist conversion technology supplier, enables corporate users to easily and quickly migrate large volumes of wordprocessed documents, including Microsoft Word documents, to Lotus Notes and export either single notes, entire databases and Views to Microsoft Word and HTML.

Through the development of IXDoc, corporate users in a multi-disciplined office environment are now able ** TO ** easily take information from Microsoft Word and import it into Lotus Notes as true Notes Rich Text, and export Lotus notes documents as Microsoft RTF format and HTML.

"Import/Export Document for Lotus Notes v2.0 provides very high quality document conversion, and offers corporate users functionality over and above that attained by traditional migration methods". explained Frank Shell, Managing Director, Pembroke International. "IXDoc Professional allows administrators to migrate entire directory trees of documents to Lotus Notes, as true Notes Rich Text which enables that information to be managed and published using standard Notes methods. IXDoc exports either, entire databases, categories, or Views to an NT folder structure with full indexation of exported notes, as Microsoft RTF and/or HTML. IXDoc Lite, as a desktop implementation puts the power where the need is - with the authors. Significantly, our exploitation of the Lotus Notes API's makes integrating the conversion engine into Lotus Notes workflow systems and custom built enterprise solutions, very simple."

Typically, the product is delivered "off the shelf" or, as a tailored solution that meets specific and differing needs. However, the key requirement common to all customers is their need to maintain the ability to read, print and re-use documents after they have been transformed - without any loss of format or meaning.

"Import/Export Document for Lotus Notes v2.0 will be of particular interest to three customer groups

  • enterprises requiring to migrate documents into Lotus Notes.
  • enterprises requiring to migrate out of Lotus Notes to Microsoft Office or HTML
  • enterprises operating a mixed editor environment requiring users of Lotus Notes to be able to properly import Word documents without loss of format or meaning, and export Lotus Notes documents as Microsoft Word or HTML, without loss of format or meaning.
